How to use the Leads App

The Zerista Leads portal is a tool that Exhibitors can use to scan Attendee-badges and retrieve their hidden contact information from the Zerista database. The app works with any Zerista event app/website that has purchased access.

The Leads portal can be accessed through your conference app.  If leads is enabled for that company (when the contact logs in) they will be directed into the leads portal to manage their company account.


There are usually at least 5 menus at the bottom navigation: Home, Leads, Scanner, Attendees, Meetings, and More.

Home is a menu where you can see event branding and your messages and upcoming meetings widgets

Leads is your list view of all users you have gathered as a lead.  If you have purchased leads you will have the ability to see their full contact details. Details available will be at least first name, last name, and email.  We provide numerous other personal/social network details but that is up to the user to populate if they feel like sharing that when setting up their profile. You can take notes or answer custom questions against that user (if purchased).  Leads appear in order of last scan at the top.  You can export leads in the top right corner and even add a lead manually if you have their email and full name details.

Scanner is a simple QR Code scanner that uses your camera to capture attendee badges, automatically storing their data in the Leads tab. Simply tap the Scanner menu, enable the camera, and aim at a QR Code badge.

Attendees is the full list of users joining you at the conference.  You have full filtering capabilities to narrow down the list of users to the ones that make the most sense for you and your company to meet.  When reviewing user profiles you will be able to message and meeting request profiles to network at the conference.

Meetings stores all meeting correspondence between your company's contacts and attendees you have reached out to or that have reached out to you.

More menu has messages, events, and settings to review.


Switching to your personal profile or another company profile

From the leads portal you have the ability to switch over to your personal profile.  

  • Navigate to the more menu
  • tap switch 
  • switch to the account you would like to access



Exporting Leads

You can export your company's leads as a CSV file from the event website or the Zerista Leads app. 

The CSV will provide all of your leads' contact information, and is a convenient medium to transfer data into your company's records. One of the columns, titled "Source," details how they were added to your list:

add = attendee favorited (+) the company in the app or site.
add (Qrcode) = Attendee scanned company QR Code (from a game most likely).
add lead (Qrcode) = company scanned attendee QR Code.


To export from the event website:

  • Login to the exhibitor portal
  • Click the Leads tab.
  • Then click "Export Leads."



In a few minutes, you will receive an email with an attached CSV file. It will include contact information, notes, and much more.


To export from the Zerista Leads app for iPhone:

 Tap the "share" icon at the top of the Leads page. That's all!



...for Android:

Same thing, different symbol. Tap the "share" icon at the top of the Leads page.
